The Cover: Francesco Ciavaglioli
A one-minute read

(from http://www.francescociavaglioli.it/) The artistic research of Francesco Ciavaglioli (Avezzano, 1983) situates itself across various media, often combined and indistinct from one another, through which he confronts the theme of the image and of its dissolution. His works are phantasmal visions, shadows suspended between individual and collective memory, but also unsettling presences that like to oscillate between a historical imaginary -at times archaic- and a more present-day, everyday one. Through various processes of image reproduction he triggers errors, discrepancies that transform the images by consuming them, thus provoking a suspension of the recognizability of form, a dissimilar parenthesis, an awaiting of a deeper and more visceral epiphany.
