Authors may submit an article for publication in Studi Umbri at any time, sending the text, prepared according to the editorial guidelines, together with the illustrations, to studiumbri@gmail.com

Open Access Policy

Studi Umbri offers free access to all published content (gold open access), in the belief that making research freely available to the public improves the worldwide exchange of knowledge.

Authors are free to republish their article in the editorial PDF format – with its original layout and design – or through the Studi Umbri link, on institutional repositories and servers, personal websites and blogs, social networks, newsletters and elsewhere.

Publication licence

Articles are published under the Creative Commons licence CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.

This licence applies to the articles of the current issue and of the issues available in the journal archive, and allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of the published articles, and to use them for any other lawful purpose, provided they are not altered.

Copyright

Intellectual property remains with the authors, who may republish their article mentioning its first publication in Studi Umbri.

APC (Article Processing Charges)

Studi Umbri does not pay authors and does not charge authors any processing or publication fee.

Article selection process

Every article is assessed by the editorial board; the outcome is communicated to the authors promptly, explaining the reasons for any rejection or suggesting improvements.

Ethics statement

Studi Umbri bases its publication ethics on the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors drawn up by COPE – Committee on Publication Ethics (http://publicationethics.org/).

Studi Umbri will take all necessary measures against any fraud that may occur during the submission, review and publication of the articles proposed.

Studi Umbri will publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies whenever necessary.

Editors’ duties

The editorial board bears final responsibility for the choice of the articles to be published, which must comply with the laws in force on defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.

Decisions on the publication of articles are taken by the editorial board without discrimination on grounds of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, citizenship or the political orientation of the authors.

The editor-in-chief and the members of the editorial board and staff undertake not to disclose information about submitted articles to anyone other than the author and any other collaborators of the journal. They also undertake not to use the contents of a submitted article in their own research without the author’s written consent.

Authors’ duties

Authors undertake to submit original, unpublished articles, discussing their content with the editorial board whenever necessary.

Authors provide correct references for all the sources consulted and used in writing their article.

Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unacceptable.

If authors find a significant error or inaccuracy in one of their articles, they must inform the editorial office and provide all the information needed to make the necessary corrections.
