A multiform issue will accompany our faithful readers towards the end of 2021. As usual, art and culture are the main ingredients of this space, always in the spirit of originality and unconventional reflection. On the cover, Mara Predicatori guides us in discovering the many-sided Umbrian artist Fabrizio Segaricci who, after painting, has experimented with a range of other expressive modes, from installations to photography. In the text you will find a rich selection of images of his works.

Our own Luigi Cimmino entrusts to us a series of reflections on the concepts of freedom and determinism, urging the reader to cross the boundaries of his own certainties and to reflect, through paradoxes as well, on the relationship between will and action. Aldo Iori allows us to return to a theme dear to our journal: the civic engagement cultivated in university or school classrooms; in particular, his work retraces the role of the Academy of Fine Arts in the revolts of 1968. Luca Peverini’s engaging essay, for its part, sketches a portrait of Cecco Angiolieri free of preconceptions and prejudices, offering us a fuller and more honest picture of him. Finally, the new issue is enriched by a poem by Paolo Nardon, Lo spazio segreto della pittura.
