It is from this certainty that we decided to devote the new issue of Studi Umbri to a series of essays on language and its dilemmas. The authors accompany us along a path brimming with observations of great originality and interest: from the literary role of the dialects to the difficulties of translation, from the force of poetry to the notions of the “rigidity” and “heaviness” of Italian, from the words of a tormented woman writer to the experience of the Novissimi.

But this time too the magazine’s “menu” does not stop at a single dish.
