Rita Eggér was born in Perugia, where she attended the Bernardino di Betto State Art Institute, in the Graphic Arts section. After her diploma she kept up her interest in graphic art with solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, winning numerous prizes and receiving honourable mentions. She was a guest of the Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest for a solo exhibition of graphic work. The author of numerous posters for scientific congresses, in the 1990s she worked on the “Strenne di Natale”, the Christmas gift books of the publishing house UTET. She has taken part in the Children’s Book Illustrators Exhibition in Bologna, in the Basel International Art Fair and in the Pittrici Umbre (Umbrian Women Painters) exhibition at the Festival dei 2 Mondi in Spoleto. She lives and works in Perugia.
